Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to photograph a styled elopement at Cannon Beach as part of Brandi Potter’s Oregon Coast Workshop. It was an amazing experience because it let me take it slowly and hone my creative skills, such as using slow-shutter techniques to capture movement and a vintage feel in my photos. We started by having them write love notes or vows to one another.

The couple we chose to model for us is perfect for each other—they both had an effortless beauty that immediately made you smile. In addition, they had also written love letters to each other to read during their “vows”, which made the shoot incredibly special and intimate. The bride even made her dress! She wore an off-white linen gown with beautiful lace detailing.

Working on this styled elopement at Cannon Beach as part of Brandi Potter’s Oregon Coast Workshop was so much fun! Not only did I get to work with some incredibly talented people (like my friend Brandi!), but I also got to explore new creative skills like slow-shutter photography—all while having some fun with it! Here are other photos of this couple during my time at the coast.
