A Styled Elopement at Cannon Beach
Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to photograph a styled elopement at Cannon Beach as part of Brandi Potter’s Oregon Coast Workshop. It was an amazing experience for me because it allowed me to take it slower and hone different creative skills such as using slow-shutter techniques to create movement and a vintage feel in my photos.
The couple we chose to model for us were absolutely perfect for each other—they both had an effortless kind of beauty that immediately made you smile. In addition, they had also written love letters to each other to read during their “vows” which made the shoot incredibly special and intimate. The bride even made her own dress! She wore an off-white linen gown with beautiful lace detailing.
Overall, it was so much fun working on this styled elopement at Cannon Beach as part of Brandi Potter’s Oregon Coast Workshop! Not only did I get to work with some incredibly talented people (like Brandi!) but I also got the chance to explore new creative skills like slow-shutter photography— all while having some fun in the process!
